The pre-application permit has been filed for a small residential infill at 10520 MacArthur Boulevard by Foothill Square in Oakland. The proposal will build on top of a single-story medical facility at the corner of MacArthur and 106th Avenue, adding three residential floors. U First Health Partners LLC is responsible for the application.
The four-story building will yield 16,410 square feet, with 2,580 square feet for the existing medical facility and 13,830 square feet for the residential floor area. Eleven new homes will be created, of which some will be priced as affordable housing.
The owner has applied to receive benefits with the State Density Bonus Program, including a waiver to reduce off-street parking requirements.
The property spans 5,560 square feet with a single-story commercial structure and surface parking in its existing condition. MacArthur Gastroenterology is listed as the property owner.
The proposal is nearby the Foothill Square Shopping Center, a strip mall with retail, restaurants, and a grocery store. Residents will also be just 15 minutes away from the Oakland Zoo by foot. Further out, the Foothill Square neighborhood is one of the furthest in the southeast of Oakland, positioned on the border of San Leandro.
