A preliminary application has been filed for a mixed-use apartment complex planned at 2844 Mountain Boulevard in Oakland. The project proposal includes the development of a new three-story mixed-use building offering residential and commercial spaces.
Studio SM2 Design Inc is responsible for the design concepts.
The project will bring 26 residential units into a three-story mixed-use structure. Commercial space spanning an area of 1,000 square feet will be designed on the ground floor. The project will utilize a 50% density bonus and seek an increase in height as a condition for the density bonus. The units will also have a few below-market-rate units with 28 parking spaces in a tiered mechanical stack system.
The project application has been submitted and awaits review and approval. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
