Preliminary plans have been filed for 2000 16th Street in the Richmond Grove neighborhood of Sacramento. The project would bring a five-story affordable housing complex close to downtown. Kuchman Architects is responsible for the application.
The five-story structure will contain 134 apartments. Further details about the proposal have yet to be shared, though a look at Kuchman Architect’s portfolio shows several podium-style designs with articulated stucco facades.
The property is between 15th Street, 16th Street, T Street, and Tomato Alley. The site is a block from the rising apartment complex at 1500 S Street. Residents will be close to the 16th Street light rail station, the Ice Blocks mixed-use development, and Fremont Park.
