New building permits have been filed for a one-unit residential structure between 37 and 43 7th Avenue by the Presidio Golf Course in the Richmond District, San Francisco. The design features the Bay Area’s distinctive traditional Shingle Style with a green-painted bay window. Gould Evans, the same firm behind the rising twenty-six story 30 Otis Street, is responsible for the proposal.

The four-story structure will include a detached garage, a single-family residence, and a landscaped backyard. The interior has five bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a private office roof beside the garage.

The Redwood-clad home will sit on a property currently valued above $3.2 million. Daniel F Goodman is listed as the project owner. Construction is estimated to cost $1.5 million.

The development is in the northern edge of the Richmond District, within the Lake Street district. The Presidio Terrace private neighborhood is around the corner, a place where the wealthy and well connected have lived before, including Senators Diane Feinstein and Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi.

  1. A nicely conceived design, appropriate for the neighborhood and will still look great in years to come
