The City of Santa Clara is reviewing plans tonight for a townhouse infill at 1526 Alviso Street, close to the Santa Clara University campus. The proposal would replace an existing hotel and commercial structure with 16 townhouse-style dwelling units. San Jose-based Speno Enterprises is the project developer.

The complex will produce 16 units across three structures, including a three-story duplex and two four-story structures with six and eight units, respectively. Full build-out will yield around 42,600 square feet, including approximately 13,000 square feet of parking for 30 cars. Anderson Architects is responsible for the design, with Taniguchi Landscape Architecture overseeing the open space.
The 0.16-acre property is located at the corner of Civic Center Drive and Alviso Street. Future residents would be half a mile away from the Santa Clara University campus and less than a mile away from the Santa Clara Caltrain Station. The estimated cost and timeline for construction have not yet been shared.
