New building permits have been filed for the four-story duplex at 1000 Stanyan Street in Cole Valley, San Francisco. The project seeks to add two residential units to a vacant lot near the Muni light rail station along Carl Street, two blocks from Kezar Pavilion in Golden Gate Park. RKD Consulting is responsible for the application.

Plans for the site were approved in early January this year, cutting out one of the three proposed units from the initial application. The approved plans for the site call for two units, including a four-bedroom residence and a studio unit. Parking will be included for two cars and two bicycles. The application was streamlined via Senate Bill 423.

Illustrations show a vernacular architectural style with a bay window facade clad with stucco and vertical board siding.

The vacant lot is oddly addressed, located between 1030 Stanyan Street and 1044 Stanyan Street. Construction is estimated to cost around $1.5 million, with the timeline for work to occur not yet established.
