Construction has topped out and preparing for facade installation on the residential project at 720 Montague Expressway in Milpitas, Santa Clara County. The project is a five-story mixed-use structure with residential units, parking space, and retail space. Hunt Hale Jones and KTGY Architects are responsible for design concept and construction.

The project spans over a 2.5-acre site. The mixed-use building will offer 5,630 square feet of retail space with outdoor seating. Directly adjacent to the retail space is an outdoor plaza area, which is approximately 1,720 square feet. An interior courtyard with pool, multiple amenity spaces, leasing offices and street front commercial spaces are also included in the building. The building facade is set to rise to a height of 61 feet.

The residential complex will house 216 residential units within four and five levels of Type V-A and Type III construction. The residential units are constructed on top of two levels of subterranean Type IA garage. The residences are a mix of 141 one-bedroom units and 75 two-bedroom units. Unit sizes range from 690 square feet to 1,200 square feet. Residential developer, SummerHill Housing Group, is managing the project.

The project location is accessible from Gladding Court via South Milpitas Boulevard. A lot of construction can been seen happening around the area. The site is perfectly positioned immediately adjacent to the new Milpitas BART Station, providing accessibility to commuters and pedestrians from all over the Bay Area.
