City Provides Input on Ocean View Public Library at 100 Orizaba Avenue, San Francisco

The San Francisco Public Library is considering plans to construct a new branch at 100 Orizaba Avenue in Ocean View. The Preliminary Project Assessment review has been published by San Francisco Planning Department, giving insight into what city staff considers important issues for the project. The new project will replace the neighborhood’s existing library at 345 Randolph Street, also the smallest library in the SFPL system.

The city-led proposal would modernize and increase the accessibility of the 107-year old building. The San Francisco Public Works is responsible for the design and application.

Mission Branch Library Renovation Moves Forward, Mission District, San Francisco

Plans to renovate and expand the Mission Branch Library at 300 Bartlett street are moving forward. The project, located in San Francisco’s Mission District neighborhood, will modernize and improve the 1914-era structure’s functions and restore the original entrance and main staircase and increase its square footage. San Francisco Public Works is responsible for the design.
