Facade Installation Nearly Complete for 100 Stockton Street, San Francisco

Six months after construction topped out, crews have all but finished facade installation for the commercial redevelopment of 100 Stockton Street near San Francisco’s Union Square. The project has made adaptive reuse of a seven-story mid-century department store with expanded offices and modernized retail facilities. Morgan Stanley and Blatteis & Schnur are responsible for the development.

Number 32: Hilton at 333 O’Farrell Street, Tenderloin, San Francisco

The 32nd tallest building in the Bay Area planned or built is 333 O’Farrell Street in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood by Union Square. The structure rises 493 feet tall to be the tallest structure exclusively for hotel use in the Bay, and was the second of three structures in the full-block Hilton San Francisco complex. 333 O’Farrell opened in 1971 with design by John Carl Warnecke & Associates.

Renderings Show Renovation for 233 Geary Street, Union Square, San Francisco

Permits are currently under review for the renovation and transformation of San Francisco’s I. Magnin Building at 233 Geary Street, in the Tenderloin. The plans change the building from a Macy’s department store into a mixed-use building with apartments, expanded offices, and retail. The 1946-era stone facade will receive a few significant alterations, including prominent new window accents, updated street cladding, and a curtainwall wrap along the top level. The structure overlooks the festive Union Square and the Macy’s Christmas Tree, with some of the city’s highest foot traffic for shopping and sightseeing. Sand Hill Property Company are the developers following the $250 million sales in January 2019.
