A new porte cochère design has been proposed for the underside of the new balcony of the Hilton at 750 Kearny Street in San Francisco. The balcony and porte cochere replace the previously demolished bridge over Kearny Street to Portsmouth Square. At this time, only the entryway area and the balconies above are proposed for renovation, with no new modifications to the larger hotel building itself.
Plans have been filed to convert the top floor of an older office building at 1990 Lombard Street in San Francisco’s Marina District. The project will add four units to the older structure’s third floor. San Francisco-based Upscale Construction is the property owner and contractor responsible for the project.
Construction has officially started for La Maravilla, a nine-story permanent supportive housing development at 2970 16th Street in San Francisco’s Mission District. The complex will eventually provide over a hundred affordable housing units, on-site services, and community-focused amenities overlooking the busy 16th Street BART Station. Mission Housing and Mission Economic Development Agency are jointly responsible for the project.
Modified plans have been filed for an eight-story apartment complex at 807 Franklin Street in San Francisco’s Western Addition neighborhood. This application comes over half a decade after a two-story Victorian house was moved from Franklin Street to Fulton Street to make way for a 2018-approved development. San Francisco-based Brown and Company is still responsible for the development as the property owner.
Preliminary permits have been filed for a corner development at 103 Walbridge Street and 520 Carter Street in the Crocker Amazon neighborhood of San Francisco. The project is expected to produce two small three-story apartment buildings along Geneva Avenue, near Cow Palace and the multi-phase Sunnydale HOPE SF project. The Millbrae-based Four Thirty Innovator Inc. is listed as the project applicant.
