For the last twelve days of 2023, SF YIMBY will look back on each month and reflect on the biggest stories we covered. September saw increased residential capacity for 955 Sansome Street, Icon/Echo, and the Stonestown Galleria masterplan. Renderings were revealed for the North Berkeley BART Station redevelopment, and the San Francisco Symphony Hall revealed new elevations by Mark Cavagnero and Gehry Partners to remodel the exterior and interior. Lastly, the city’s commercial office market saw two major stories with the sale of 350 California Street and a new lease in Mission Rock.

For the last twelve days of 2023, SF YIMBY will look back on each month and share the biggest stories we covered. June saw new renderings were published for the SFMTA Mariposa Yard redevelopment and Tasman East Parcel 4. CCSF announced the future home of the famous Diego Rivera mural with slick new renderings for the proposed theater. Lastly, YIMBY traveled across the region to document construction from Mission Rock and 1510 Webster Street to BIG-designed Google offices and more.

SFYIMBY Year in Review: April 2023

For the last twelve days of this year, SF YIMBY will look back on each month and share the biggest stories we covered. April was the most active month yet, including our first look at the proposed Sunset Tower, which shocked the region. Less shocking but still of great interest, SHVO revealed new illustrations for a Foster-designed Three Transamerica, construction was spotted at YouTube’s new SHoP-designed HQ, and Republic opened the region’s largest new Transit-Oriented Development in Millbrae. Plans for 469 Stevenson Street got a second life with a new application, plans that received a shot of reality this Thursday, more on that below. Lastly, this was the month when Oakland A’s president, Dave Kaval, announced that the team had purchased land in Las Vegas and would leave California, ending a drawn-out saga of negotiations with the city to build Howard Terminal.

SFYIMBY Year In Review: March 2023

For the last twelve days of the year, SF YIMBY will look back on each month and share the biggest stories we covered. March was the month of construction updates across the East Bay, San Francisco, and San Mateo County. Crews started on the new CCA campus in San Francisco, a new Life Sciences complex started to rise across from the Millbrae Station, and several urban infills were spotted rising in Berkeley. In Downtown Oakland, YIMBY visited the peak of Behring Co’s 39-story apartment tower.
