Preliminary review permits have been filed for a new multi-story apartment building at 2080 Almaden Road in southern San Jose, Santa Clara County. Eighty units will be included, all of which are to be sold as affordable housing. San Diego-based Affirmed Housing will be responsible for the development.
The San Jose city government has not yet published further details.
The $2.7 million listings were removed from the market in May of 2020, suggesting that it was sold. This value also marked a 4,000% increase in value relative to its 2019 assessment at $67,000. Bates Grace Trustee is listed as the property owner.
The address is half a block from a small retail hub serviced by the Valley Transport Authority 26 bus line. The lot is currently overgrown and fenced off, protecting a vacant single-family lot. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

This would be a disaster! We won’t let it happen to our charming community. We don’t have sewage, roads, parking etc to accommodate this growth. We can’t allow our community to be destroyed! Take the fairgrounds and some of the open land for these projects. Please pay attention homeowners and get involved.
How can we get involved?
