Recently filed elevations show plans for a new Mercedes-Benz car dealership and service station for 1700 Embarcadero Road in Palo Alto, Santa Clara County. The project will replace a vacant restaurant space and its 160-vehicle parking lot. The Mercedes dealership will provide parking for 81 vehicles and have an inventory capacity of 60 cars. The M Group is managing the development.
The two-story structure yields 35,370 square feet.
Praxis3 is responsible for the design. The project uses a mix of curtain wall glass, white and dark grey metal panels, and aluminum. A portion of the West elevation will include a landscape wall. Landscaping architecture is by Davis S. Neault. Their work will consist of eucalyptus trees, Gingkos, Yarwood, and various shrubs, ground cover, and vines.
The proposal is within a commercial enclave beside the Baylands nature preserve, Byxbee Park, a golf course, and Palo Alto’s domestic airport. Palo Alto’s E bus line services the area.
The developers long with Swickard Auto Group filed for the entitlement permits and have requested a preliminary architectural review to permit the construction.
