A new application has been filed for a substantial affordable housing project at 1007 Blossom Hill Road in Blossom River, in the southern edge of San Jose. The development will create 269 affordable housing units. Jemcor Development Partners LLC is sponsoring the proposal, with Water Dragon 289 LLC listed as the property owner.

The development is still in the early days, having just filed to undergo an enhanced preliminary review this week. The project would be a significant addition to the city’s housing stock right by the Westfield Oakridge shopping mall. Public transit is available nearby, with the Blossom Hill & Winfield bus stations serviced by the 27 and 83.

An estimated completion date has not yet been announced, and the projected cost for construction is not yet released.
