Development permits are being reviewed seeking the approval of a wellness center at 1024 Mission Road in South San Francisco, San Mateo County. The project proposal includes the construction of a three-story building with surface parking. The South San Francisco Health Campus will serve as a hub to provide health care services.
SmithGroup is architecture firm managing the design concept and construction. XL Construction is the construction manager.
The wellness center will cover a gross floor area of 74,000 square feet. The center will provide services for women, infants, and children; aging and adult. It will also house an OSHPD 3 (Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development) medical clinic on the first floor.
The architecture style is expressed in a timber facade topped with concrete slabs. The building will be a zero net energy per the green building policy in County of San Mateo.
The estimated date of project completion is 2022. The project site is located in a commercial hub in South San Francisco.
