Development permits have been filed for a three-unit residential development at 684 Fairmount Avenue in Grand Lake, Oakland. The project would replace a single-unit structure. Walnut Creek-based Campos Development is responsible for the project.

The 24-foot tall development will yield just over 5,000 square feet of built area on top of a 10,600 square foot parcel. Units A and B will both span 1,710 square feet, while unit C will contain 1,575 square feet. Each will offer three bedrooms with in-unit laundry and two and a half bathrooms. Parking for five cars will be included on-site.

Domum is the project architect, and Utopian Landscapes will be the Landscape Architect. The project will feature gabled roofs and facades clad with stucco and plaster. Carob and Olive trees will be planted among lavender, lamb’s ear, grevillea, and other shrubbery.

The property is nearby Piedmont Avenue, a shopping and restaurant destination nearby the MacArthur BART Station. The future residents at 684 Fairmount Avenue will be eight minutes from the transit stop via bicycle. Downtown Oakland’s Lake Merritt park is ten minutes away via bicycle.

  1. Isn’ these possible units close to AC transit and BART?Why not one more unit by eliminating the unnecessary car parking? Where is the bicycle parking? Thanks
