Project developers have proposed a new future for the project proposed at 1011 10th Street in Downtown Sacramento. The project proposal includes the development of an eight-story hotel on the site. The original building on the site was built in 1938 as a local branch for Landmark Bank.
HRGA Architecture is responsible for the design concepts. Abe Koshfam is the property owner.
Previous project plans included the development of the project site with a bank building.
Named Landmark Hotel, the project will construct a hotel offering 117 rooms in an eight-story building. The hotel will feature 2,000 square feet of meeting and event space along with 2,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. The gross building area is 90,360 square feet. Plenty of details have to be chalked out; whether Koshfam plans to partner up with a hotel chain like Hyatt or Marriott.
The plans from HRGA Architecture showcase the retention of the existing three-story building closest to 10th Street on the west but demolish the eastern side. Plans show that the first floor will have a cafe/bar in addition to a lobby and meeting space. Rooms will be designed on the second floor. Back-of-house functions and a kitchen will be set up in the basement.
A formal application is yet to be submitted; the project is in the conceptual design phase. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
