Building permits have been issued for an affordable housing project proposed for development at 2255 International Boulevard in Oakland. The project proposal includes the development of a five-story mixed-use building offering 100% affordable housing apartments and commercial space.
Cahill Contractors is the project contractor. Pyatok Architects is responsible for the design concepts.
Named Ancora Place, the scope of the project includes the construction of a five-story mixed-use building offering 77 residential units, all of which are to be affordable units. The building will also offer commercial space on the ground floor. Onsite amenities include a community room, services office, on-site manager, 5th floor event space, common laundry room and a beautiful courtyard. Ground-breaking is predicted to be possible soon and the estimated completion date is May 2023. The project will involve merging three lots together and an exisiting structure on the site is slated for demolition.
The building will be developed on a parcel located mid-block in the San Antonio neighborhood in Oakland.
