San Francisco has started accepting applications for the Shirley Chisholm Village at 1360 43rd Avenue in San Francisco’s Sunset District. The project will bring new affordable housing to the city’s westside, with priority for SFUSD teachers and employees. MidPen Housing is the developer.
Concrete is rising for the OMA-designed affordable housing complex at 730 Stanyan Street in San Francisco’s Haight Ashbury neighborhood. The eight-story corner build is set to bring 160 units across from Golden Gate Park by 2025. The development is a joint venture with CCDC and TNDC.
Construction is moving along for a proposed residential project located at 2227-2257 International Boulevard in San Antonio, Oakland. The project proposal includes the development of a 77-unit family project along with space for retail uses and onsite services. Pyatok Architects is responsible for the designs. Cahill Contractors is the project contractor. SAHA Homes is the property and service manager.
Just over a year after the official groundbreaking ceremony, crews have topped out the five-story affordable educator housing development at 1360 43rd Avenue in San Francisco’s Sunset District. The Shirley Chisholm Village has replaced a former school and outdoor yard with the low-rise apartment infill designed by BAR Architects with G7A. MidPen Housing is the project developer, and Cahill is the general contractor.
The project team and city officials gathered last week to celebrate the grand opening of Kapuso at the Upper Yard, a nine-story affordable housing project at 2340 San Jose Avenue in San Francisco’s Outer Mission neighborhood. The project has created 131 low- to moderate-income family homes on public land owned by BART and developed in partnership with Related and the Mission Housing Development Corporation. State Senator Scott Wiener, author of Senate Bill 35, which provided Kapuso a clear path for approval, attended the event.
