Two developers have submitted permits to formalize a limited partnership for the affordable housing proposal at 1701 San Pablo Avenue in Northwest Berkeley, Alameda County. The existing surface parking lot is owned by the Berkeley Unified School District. Once complete, the 110 affordable apartments will prioritize School District employees and familiars. Abode Communities and Satellite Affordable Housing Associates will be joint developers.

Construction has started for the Chinatown TOD Senior Housing complex within the Lake Merritt BART Station redevelopment in Downtown Oakland, Alameda County.
