Modified Plans For 80 Julian Avenue, Mission District, San Francisco

Modified plans have been filed for The Village, a planned six-story community center at 80 Julian Avenue in San Francisco’s Mission District. The latest application shows that the developer has taken advice from the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development to increase the on-site affordable housing. The Friendship House Association of American Indians is listed as the property owner, working with Equity Community Builders.

Construction Underway For El Cerrito Plaza BART Development

Foundation work is underway for the first phase of the El Cerrito Plaza BART Station transit-oriented development in El Cerrito, Contra Costa County. Crews are currently working on the six-story affordable housing complex at 515 Richmond Street, designed by PYATOK. The master plan is a joint venture with Holliday Development, Related California, and Satellite Affordable Housing Associates.

Construction Underway For Lake Merritt BART Affordable Housing, Oakland

Concrete is nearly topping out for the affordable senior housing project rising over the Lake Merritt BART Station in Downtown Oakland, Alameda County. Once complete, the eight-story apartment complex is expected to add 97 units above the transit hub and across from the Laney College campus. East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation is responsible for the development.

Parcel A Breaks Ground at El Cerrito Plaza BART Transit Oriented Development

Last week, ground broke at the El Cerrito BART Station, beginning the first phase of construction for a sweeping 743-unit development to occupy the existing surface parking lot. Initial concepts for the project were reported on by SF YIMBY in 2020, with final approvals by the El Cerrito City Council coming through in May 2025. In that time, Holliday Development, Satellite Affordable Housing Associates, and Related California have emerged as project developers, sponsoring a combination of affordable and market-rate units on the site.
