Holliday Development has filed a new building permit for the five-story residential development addressed 2121 Wood Street in West Oakland. The application comes after the developer filed for an extension in late-2020, and withdrew permits earlier this year. If built, the project will add 235 new apartments to the city.
New illustrations have been revealed for BART’s proposed redevelopment of El Cerrito Plaza in El Cerrito, Contra Costa County. The images were released ahead of the El Cerrito city council meeting tonight at 7 PM. The transit-oriented project would create 750-800 new apartments ranging from market rate to low-income housing. Holliday Development, Related California, and SAHA are responsible for the development.
The City of Oakland Planning Commission is reviewing proposed revisions for the multi-structure plans’ affordable housing component at 801 Pine Street, West Oakland. The project aims to provide 101 affordable and 205 market-rate units, along with commercial uses within walking distance to the neighborhood BART station. Holliday Development is responsible for the project.
Permits have been filed to request reconsideration and modification of the condition of approval associated with previously-approved mixed-use development on 2011-2195 Wood Street in West Oakland. The approved residential and commercial development involved 235 residential units and 13,165 square feet of commercial spaces in two phases.
BART has announced that they have picked two developers to form a joint venture for 780 new residences around the El Cerrito Plaza BART Station, with 49% units as affordable, and a public library. Related California and Holliday Development were chosen. The joint venture now must negotiate the terms of agreement with BART to start the two-to-three-year process of producing a development concept.
