New entitlement plans have been filed for a three-story apartment complex at 6779 Q Street by CSUS in East Sacramento. The project would replace a vacant lot near light rail with 75 affordable units. Community Housing Works is the property owner responsible for the development.
The Oakland Design Review Committee is scheduled to review plans for senior housing at 51 9th Street in Downtown Oakland this afternoon. The project, dubbed Building B, is part of Lake Merritt BART Station Development Phase One, which will reshape surfacing parking with hundreds of homes. The master plan is being developed by a joint venture with Strada Investment Group and the Oakland-based East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation.
New building permits have been filed for 2550 Irving Street, a 100 percent affordable housing project in San Francisco’s Sunset District. The seven-story project will create 90 units less than a block away from Golden Gate Park. The Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation is responsible for the application.
Plans for a new mixed-income tower overlooking Lake Merritt have been dashed. Oakland’s City Council voted 5-3 to reject plans to sell the city-owned vacant parcel at 101 East 12th Street to UrbanCore. The Richmond-based developer proposed building a 360-unit residential development with a mix of market-rate and low-income housing in Merritt, across from Downtown Oakland.
Plans have been filed for the affordable senior housing component of the Lake Merritt BART Development in Downtown Oakland. The plan for Block 1 Building B, at 51 9th Street, will create 97 new units, residential amenities, and a commercial kitchen. East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation is responsible for the application.
