A new residential project has been proposed for development at 4345 El Camino Real in Barron Park, Palo Alto. The project proposal includes the development of multiple family residences on two property lots. If developed, the project will replace Creekside Inn, a commercial property, on the site.

Toll Brothers is the project developer. Van Meter Williams Pollack is designing the project.

On the south side of the project site, the project will develop 67 new residences, built as a mix of 55 condominiums, six townhomes and six accessory dwelling units. On the other side, the parcel will house six, three-story townhomes, each with an attached accessory dwelling unit (ADU). The townhomes will feature roof terraces, front stoops, balconies and landscaped green spaces and gardens at the ground-level. The residences will replace Country Inn Motel.

The condominium building will rise to a height of 60 feet, exceeding the city’s 50-foot height limit. The proposal also indicates a higher residential density; 56 dwellings per acre, which is higher than city’s standard of 40 dwellings for high-density multifamily districts. To

The six townhomes will each feature three bedrooms and span an average size of 2,559 square feet. The six accessory dwelling units will yield built-up area of 420 square feet. The five-story condominium building will have 12 one-bedroom units, 35 two-bedroom units and eight three-bedroom units.

The proposal requests to convert the commercial site to planned home zoning. The project application has been submitted and requires a hearing from Palo Alto City Council. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
