A new apartment complex has been proposed for development at 1150-1170 Kifer Road in Sunnyvale. The project proposal includes the construction of an eight-story building offering residential units and onsite parking. Two existing office buildings and a surface parking lot will be demolished for the project to proceed.
Prometheus Real Estate Group is the project applicant and 1150 Kifer LP is the property owner.
The site is a parcel spanning an area of 5.82 acres. The developer proposes to relocate the existing lot line between the two office building lots, resulting in a 3.82-acre lot for the office buildings and a 2-acre lot for the apartment development. The project will bring 225 residential units into an eight-story building. The apartment complex will also include three levels of above-ground parking. The developer also proposes 36 low-income and 8 very-low income units.
Renderings reveal a facade designed in brick veneers, mental and cement panels, stucco, glass, and cement plaster in a neutral palette.
A review meeting was conducted on January 9, where council members discussed the overall site and architectural designs, upper floor cornice treatment, and the west elevation articulation. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
