The six-story corner building will yield 84,830 square feet with 88 assisted living suites and 25 memory care suites. Unit sizes will vary with studios, one-bedrooms, and two-bedrooms. Residents can access personalized support, including activities, 24-hour staffing, and full-time licensed nurses on-site. On-site amenities will include a fitness center, therapy room, theater, courtyard, and sky terrace.

Trachtenberg Architects is responsible for the design, while Thoma-Holec Design will oversee the interiors. DCI Construction is the project’s general contractor. The project design is familiar within the Trachtenberg portfolio, with an earthy palette of brick, plaster, and wood enriched with iron Juliette balcony railing and planters. The streetscape will be improved with greenery and trees.

The property is located at the corner of Dwight Way and Milvia Street by retail-rich Shattuck Avenue. The Alta Bates Summit Medical center and Sutter Urgent Care centers are located across the street. Downtown Berkeley BART station is just over ten minutes away on foot, with AC Transit buses along Shattuck providing direct transit to the city’s growing urban core.
