The City of Palo Alto is scheduled to review the plan this morning for 800 San Antonio Road in Palo Alto, Santa Clara County. The project will create 76 new homes by 101, close to the Builder’s Remedy-assisted application at 3997 Fabian Way. TimeSpace Group is responsible for the development.

The 55-foot-tall structure will yield around 168,840 square feet, with 89,230 square feet for housing and around 54,260 square feet for the two-level basement garage. Parking will be included for 148 cars and 74 bicycles. Residential amenities will include a gym, clubhouse, and lobby connected to the central structure courtyard. The open space includes outdoor seating shaded with trees.

The proposal will include 16 affordable units, with seven designated for very low-income households, five for low-income households, and four for moderate-income households. Of the 76 units, there will be eight one-bedrooms, 52 two-bedrooms, and 16 three-bedrooms.

Lowney Architecture is responsible for the design. The podium-style facade will be articulated to visually minimize its five-story scale, with dark siding set in context to three-floor white blocks and glass-railing terraces. Illustrations show a creme-white exterior contrast with slate grey, brown metals, and blue metals. The exterior will be clad with fiber cement panels, perforated metal panels, and glass balcony railings.

HMH is leading the landscape architecture and consulting on civil engineering. Demolition will be required for three existing structures. The 0.87-acre lot parcel is located between Charleston Road and Leghorn Street. The San Antonio Caltrain station is nine minutes away via bicycle.

  1. This website is fantastic. It covers ALL of the Bay Area, as well as includes the valuable info of a) what is there before the construction, and b) estimated date of completion, if known.

    A one-stop shop. I now visit daily.

  2. One suggestion I have is to include a hyperlink to the Google Maps link to the street address, in at least all major-project articles. That way, a reader can just click to see the Google Maps location.
