New permits have been filed for a three-story apartment complex at 1010 91st Avenue in East Oakland, Alameda County. The proposal will replace some existing surface parking next to a church with eight homes. Lily of the Valley Christian Center is listed as the property owner.
The three-story building will be made with Type IIIa construction, meaning the exterior walls are of noncombustible materials, and the interior building elements are of any material permitted by this code. The eight studio-style units will comprise around 4,850 square feet of floor area, with two units on the first floor and three apartments on levels two and three. The building will include a storage unit and solar panels.
Demolition will be required for a portion of the existing parking lot, with the remaining space to be modified with a new accessibility path connecting with the housing, decorated with new landscaping. Alongside the church, the parcel is occupied by a 2,700-square-foot single-family house.
Workbench is listed as the project architect, though illustrations have yet to be revealed. The estimated timeline and cost of construction have yet to be shared.
