New plans have been drafted for a 94-home suburban expansion along Hanson Lane in Brentwood, Contra Costa County. The single-family sprawl will redevelop 20 acres between Hanson Lane and Lone Tree Way along Marsh Creek. Meritage Homes Corporation is the project developer.
Construction will reshape the large parcel with 94 single-family homes. Lot sizes will vary from 4,000 square feet to 21,200 square feet. Each home will have four bedrooms, a two-car garage, and a backyard. Kevin L. Crook Architects is responsible for the design, and vanderToolen Associates is the landscape architect. Illustrations show familiar residential vernacular with different building styles to be applied. The styles are labeled as Santa Barbara, Contemporary, Coastal, and Farmhouse.
Of the 94 residences, there will be 12 affordable homes for various income levels. There will be five very low-income units to cost $164,000, four low-income homes costing $271,000, and three moderate-income units costing $581,000.
