A new hotel has been inaugurated at its site located at 1100 North Mathilda Avenue in Sunnyvale. The project proposal included the development of a new hotel building offering 254 rooms, meeting & event space, restaurant space, onsite amenities and parking. The hotel also inaugurated a restaurant named Valley Goat that has been scoring a lot of popularity from the locals.
Starwood Capital Group is the project owner. SB Architects is responsible for the designs. Rios is the landscape architect. SH Hotels & Resorts is the operator.

In 2022, Starwood Hotels announced plans to bring its Treehouse hotel brand to the United States by 2023. On March 31, 2025, Starwood officially inaugurated the first Treehouse Hotel.
The scope work included the construction of a new home building spanning an area of 80,601 square feet. The hotel brings a total of 254 rooms, onsite parking, and meeting & event space spanning 8,750 square feet. Additionally, the hotel will also feature 7,300 square feet of F&B outlets. The building facade will rise up to 75 feet.

Besides the Valley Goat restaurant, guests can enjoy amenities such as a pool, hot tub, outdoor grill area, fire pits, beer garden, gym, and a grab-and-go café.
As previously covered, the hotel is refurbished and rises six-stories high. Renderings reveal a sustainable design for the buildings with facades designed in wood, brick, and various metal finishes.
