Revised design plans have been proposed for a residential project at 820 West MacArthur Boulevard in Longfellow, Oakland. The project proposal includes revision of approved plans for a five-story apartment building.
Riaz Capital is the project developer. Levy Design Partners is designing the project.

The project site is a parcel spanning 0.5 acres. The project will merge three lots at the corner of West MacArthur and West Street near the MacArthur BART Station and the intersection with I-580 and I-980. The previously approved project plan proposed 92 units. However, revision of the plans now proposes to provide for lower-cost housing by increasing the number of residential units, while decreasing the size of the units.
The original project had 17 studio units and 75 two-bedroom units, proposing a total of 92 units. Parking was included for 40 bicycles and no vehicles, making use of the density bonus waivers to encourage public transit and reduce the future project’s overall carbon footprint. The revised plan proposes 166 studio units. The modification will also involve a reconfiguration of units, with the overall height remaining the same. The building’s gross square footage would increase by 4,068 square feet, but the building remains in the same footprint.

CFLA is the landscape architect and Luk & Associates is the civil engineer. The property will provide a 2,680 square foot open-air plaza.
The renderings from the revision have not been revealed yet. Along with the nearby BART Station, residents will benefit from several AC Transit bus lines in the neighborhood .The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.

maybe if it was intended to be a college dorm property. lol. SRO’s are pretty wild in SF. I don’t recommend investing in them.
