The Santa Clara Development Review Hearing is scheduled to review plans for low-density affordable housing at 3575 De La Cruz Boulevard in Santa Clara, Santa Clara County. The proposal would add 15 new condominium units with on-site parking and a rear lot. Habitat for Humanity is the project sponsor.
The 42-foot tall structure will yield around 19,420 square feet, with 15,680 square feet for housing and 3,740 square feet for parking. There will be 15 covered parking spaces and 15 uncovered spaces. Unit sizes will vary with two one-bedroom flats, three two-bedroom flats, four two-bedroom townhomes, five three-bedroom townhomes, and one four-bedroom townhome.
Zenith Engineers is responsible for engineering and design. Facade materials will include cementitious siding and shingle roofing. BKF Engineers is leading civil engineering. The project integrates a farmhouse-style design, with setbacks and an articulated exterior breaking up the overall shape.
The property is located on the border of a commercial neighborhood and sprawling suburb between the Montague Expressway and Bayshore Freeway. Residents will be across from the Montague Park playground and close to Guadalupe River.
An estimated timeline and cost for construction have yet to be established. The meeting is scheduled to start tomorrow, February 1st, at 3 PM. For more information, visit the city website here.
