A new residential project has been proposed for development at 612 South Main Street in Milpitas. The project proposal includes the development of a residential community consisting of nine three-story townhouse buildings. The project requires the demolition of the existing commercial building and removal and replacement of 13 ordinance-size trees on the site.

The True Life Company is the project applicant. SDG Architects is responsible for the designs. R3 Studios is the landscape architect.

Named True Life Townhomes, the project will bring multiple townhomes on a 2.35-acre site. The project will bring 57 units within nine three-story townhouse buildings with attached two-car garages.. The project yields a total residential built-up area spanning 118, 277 square feet and private open space measuring 7,292 square feet. The townhomes will range from 1,423 to 2,092-square feet in size, each with three bedrooms and three or three-and-a-half bathrooms. Some also offer private open spaces, patios, and balconies. The townhouses will rise to a height of 37 feet. Surface parking for up to 123 vehicles is also proposed.

The Project is located within the Midtown Specific Plan Area and submitted under California Senate Bill 330 (Housing Crisis Act of 2019). The application requests for reviewing the Site Development Permit, Conditional Use Permit, Vesting Tentative Map, Tree Removal Permit, Environmental Assessment, and Density Bonus Permit.
