Ten Over Studio is the project architect. One establishing illustration shows the building rising over the East Julian Street thoroughfare with five levels of green fiber-cement cladding above the double-height glass lobby. The exterior will be clad with fiber cement siding, stucco, and metal screening. Isaacson Wood & Associates is the landscape architect. The firm will design the sidewalk improvements and three podium-top courtyards.

The 87-foot-tall structure will include five levels of housing above the two-story podium garage. Unit sizes will vary with 65 one-bedrooms, 40 two-bedrooms, and 35 three-bedrooms. Parking will be included for 133 cars and 106 bicycles. Bicycle parking will be on the second floor.

The nearly one-acre parcel is across from the planned train station entrance for the BART Silicon Valley Phase II extension. The 28th Street/Little Portugal station will be the first of four to connect with Berryessa Station in North San Jose. Demolition will be required for two existing bungalow-type homes.

The meeting is scheduled to start today, January 10th, at 9 AM. For more information about how to attend and participate in the virtual meeting, visit the meeting agenda here.

Construction is expected to last around twenty months, from groundbreaking to completion.
