Another Housing Prospect Floated by Future Little Portugal BART Station, San Jose

The Nova Alianca Hall in San Jose has been sold by the Portuguese marching band society to Intelli, an affiliate of the local developer, Do Van Tron. The property, located at 37 North 27th Street, is close to the prospective 28th Street Little Portugal BART Station. Though the transit connection isn’t expected to open for well over a decade, the new owner is hoping to build dozens of apartments.

VTA Survey Open for BART Station Design Feedback

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority, i.e., VTA, is welcoming the public to provide design feedback on the four future San Jose BART Stations. In particular, VTA is looking for ideas of visual elements to integrate into each of the stations. Along with the survey, the Authority has released some of the most detailed illustrations yet of the future transit hubs. The website is part of phase two in community engagement, the Construction Education and Outreach Plan. The website will receive its final comments on Friday, September 17th.

Local developer Roygbiv Real Estate has released detailed renderings for 1298 Tripp Avenue. The illustrations focus on the first in three phases of construction that will produce approximately 1,200 new apartments, including affordable housing, in Five Wounds, San Jose. Named Residencias Arrianna, the development aims to create new apartments and public amenities by the future location of the 28th Street Little Portugal BART Station.

Early Plans for High-Rise Housing at 1325 East Julian Street, Five Wounds, San Jose

Preliminary planning documents have been submitted to the city for significant mixed-use development at 1325 East Julian Street in the Five Wounds Urban Village of San Jose. Named Via De Camila, the proposal is in the beginning stages, but early documents suggest between seven to eleven buildings with as many as 1,300 residential units. ROYGBIV Real Estate Development is responsible for the project.
