The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority, i.e., VTA, is welcoming the public to provide design feedback on the four future San Jose BART Stations. In particular, VTA is looking for ideas of visual elements to integrate into each of the stations. Along with the survey, the Authority has released some of the most detailed illustrations yet of the future transit hubs. The website is part of phase two in community engagement, the Construction Education and Outreach Plan. The website will receive its final comments on Friday, September 17th.

A new design iteration has been published for 17 East Santa Clara Street in Downtown San Jose, outlining facade changes and a future entrance for the city’s 2030 BART/VTA station. The proposal, to be called Eterna Tower, would add 200 new dwelling units to the Silicon Valley housing market. San Francisco-based ROYGBIV Real Estate Development is responsible for the project as the property owner.
Several public transit agencies in the Bay Area have announced promotions for September, offering reduced or free fares. The adjusted prices are being provided by BART, Caltrain, AC Transit, VTA, and County Connection. Discounts vary from 50% reductions to free fares to promote the systems, thank existing commuters, and court new riders into the wonderful world of buses and trains.
