Final Approval For 3896 Stevens Creek Boulevard, San Jose

Final approval has been granted for a large apartment complex at 3896 Stevens Creek Boulevard in San Jose’s Meridian neighborhood. The development is expected to replace a small retail center with 575 apartments. Holland Partner Group is the project sponsor.

Construction will produce two eight-story structures totaling 575 units, a slight increase over the previous plan iteration. The first structure will contain 264 units, and the second structure will add 311 units. There will be 29 affordable units for very low-income households.

TCA Architects is responsible for the design, with EPT Design as the landscape architect. The facade materials will include metal panels, perforated screens, stone tile, and stucco. Illustrations show a familiar podium apartment complex with articulated facade schemes and balconies. The ground level will include a mix of landscaping, with a corner park along Saratoga Avenue and Stevens Creek Boulevard, and a greenway separating the two buildings. Each structure’s podium-top amenities will include a pool deck, clubroom, and amenity space.

The 4.7-acre property is bound by Northlake Drive, Saratoga Avenue, and Stevens Creek Boulevard. The site is currently occupied by four low-slung structures. Future residents will live across from 3941 Stevens Creek Boulevard, a 59-unit affordable housing complex under construction by CRP Affordable Housing.
