As per a press release shared with SFYIMBY.com, last week Milpitas celebrated the inauguration of Phase II of the Milpitas Unified School District’s (MUSD) Innovation Campus. The project proposal includes the development of a new education and workforce development center. Blach Construction is the project developer. Quattrocchi Kwok Architects is responsible for the designs.
Community members gathered last week to celebrate the official groundbreaking ceremony of Colibri Commons, a new affordable housing complex rising at 965 Weeks Street in East Palo Alto, San Mateo County. The project is a joint development by EPACANDO and MidPen Housing to create 136 homes on city-owned land. Residents are expected to move in as early as next year.
The Gateway at Millbrae Station mixed-use development is officially open in Millbrae, San Mateo County. The project has brought affordable housing, market-rate housing, offices, a hotel, and new retail directly across from the county’s largest transit hub, serviced by BART, Caltrain, SamTrans, and eventually, the High-Speed Rail. Republic Urban Properties is the project sponsor.
A visit by SFYIMBY has documented construction is humming along with four structures topped out in Gateway at Millbrae, San Mateo County. The project is a transit-oriented mixed-use project that includes market-rate and affordable housing, a Marriott hotel, retail, and office space next to the Millbrae BART and Caltrain Station. Republic Family of Companies is responsible for the projected $401 million development.
