The project team and city officials gathered last week to celebrate the grand opening of Kapuso at the Upper Yard, a nine-story affordable housing project at 2340 San Jose Avenue in San Francisco’s Outer Mission neighborhood. The project has created 131 low- to moderate-income family homes on public land owned by BART and developed in partnership with Related and the Mission Housing Development Corporation. State Senator Scott Wiener, author of Senate Bill 35, which provided Kapuso a clear path for approval, attended the event.
Construction is moving forward quickly for the Ventana Residences at 99 Ocean Avenue in Balboa Park, San Francisco. The team is expecting to open the site by March of 2023, becoming the largest HOME-SF Project built in the city. Construction has topped out for 99 Ocean Avenue, a six-story residential infill in Balboa Park, San Francisco. The project, dubbed Ventana Residences, will soon open with 193 new homes as the largest project built using the HOME-SF affordable housing development program. Presidio Bay Ventures is the project developer.
Construction work has topped out on the Balboa Park Upper Yard affordable housing project at 2340 San Jose Avenue in San Francisco’s Outer Mission. The construction has replaced a surface parking lot and former rail yard across from a BART and Muni station with a 90-foot tall infill with over a hundred affordable housing units. Both the Mission Housing Development Corporation and Related Companies are responsible for the development.
The San Francisco Planning Commission is scheduled to review plans for a five-story residential infill nearby BART in Balboa Park, San Francisco. The project makes use of the State Density Bonus program to propose 35 new units with some affordable housing. City staff has recommended the commission approve the application with conditions.
