Architects Orange is responsible for the design, with Thomas H. Phelps behind the landscape architecture. The following text is from the planning submittal, detailing the buildings’ aesthetic origins within, “California Contemporary Architecture style. The proposed building design incorporates various California Contemporary elements such as a flat roof, varying colors, variegated wood material to highlight certain building projections, and architectural elements to create fluctuating volume on all façades. The selection of colors and materials will break up the project’s overall massing and add character to the building and intersection. Landscaping is incorporated”

  1. This looks gross. The Oakland city council woman should not be bragging about this on LinkedIn. Sticking 197 seniors paying too high rent (not really affordable if you look at AMI’s) next to a freeway (we’re filters installed? Numerous studies on increased cancer and respiratory risks especially with seniors) with no parking in a bad neighborhood. Even with a housing crisis vacancy rates will be high on this plus AMG is not an operator with a great reputation. A future dilapidated building no doubt.

  2. Just broke ground this week. I wish it was more retail but no one would wants to open a business in east oakland. Well at least the seniors living here will have a great view of the sideshows that happen in this intersection…

  3. Is there a list to sign up for an apartment here 4311 MacArthur in Oakland

  4. Where do you go or talk too to rent or get on list to rent an apartment there on McArthur/High.

  5. How much will rent be at this location.

  6. Where and when to apply.

    Thanks
