Permits have been filed seeking the approval of a residential project at 2302 Calle Del Mundo in Tasman East, Santa Clara. The project proposal includes the development of a multi-family low-income housing apartment building with on-site parking. Plans call for the demolition of an existing single-story building and adjacent surface parking.
Ensemble Real Estate Investments and Rethink Development are the project developers. Bar Architects is responsible for the design concepts and construction.

The site is a parcel spanning an area of 33,385 square feet. The project will bring 151 dwelling units to a five-story type III residential structure. The residences will be built over a three-story podium parking facility spanning an area of 30,420 square feet. The total residential built-up area is 127,290 square feet. The multi-family housing complex will feature on-site amenities, including a fitness center and a laundry facility for its residents.

The building facade will rise to a height of 85 feet plus appurtenances. A portion of the site will be maintained as a privately-owned publicly accessible open space. The housing complex will implement drought tolerant landscape techniques, stormwater solutions, and various green building strategies, including shaded open spaces and on-site EV charging stations.

The project is a part of a bigger development in Tasman East. A few approved projects being 2354 Calle Del Mundo which will bring 89 units to an eight-story building, 2233 Calle del Mundo, featuring a six-story residential building with 196 apartments, and 371-unit housing development in two mid-rise eight-story buildings at 2225 Calle De Luna and 2232 Calle Del Mundo in Tasman East.
The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
