A new rendering has been revealed for a five-story mixed-use building at 7521 MacArthur Boulevard in Eastmont, Oakland. To be called Macarthur & 76th Avenue Apartments, the development would add 11 units to the East Bay’s housing market. Devi Dutta Architecture is managing the design and project.

The 53-foot tall structure will yield 12,100 square feet, with 10,680 square feet for residential use and 240 square feet for ground-level retail. Parking will be included for seven vehicles, three on-site and four behind an adjacent building. The facade will be clad with smooth-finished cement plaster. The rooftop will consist of an open green area. A fourth-floor deck will be opened as a community amenity.

Of the 11 units, one will be affordable housing. Residents will be fifteen minutes away from the Oakland Coliseum BART station via the AC Transit’s 73 bus line.

Cottrell Smith of Better Oakland Neighborhoods LLC is listed as the property owner. According to Mr. Smith’s LinkedIn page, he is also the Senior Vice President at the Private Bank of Wells Fargo.
