Plans will be reviewed for new townhome-style condominiums at 444 Old San Francisco Road in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara County. The city’s Planning Commission is scheduled to review the plans this coming Monday, which has been reduced from 19 rentals to eight condominiums. ZSD Architects is responsible for the design.
The three-story structure will yield around 16,270 square feet for housing and 3,650 square feet for the eight two-car garages road. The garages will be accessible from a driveway along Cezanne Drive, passing four surface parking spots available for guests. Each unit includes one bedroom at ground level, facing toward the street. The second floor will include a living room and kitchen, and the third floor will offer two bedrooms and a dedicated office.
The residential design by ZSD Architects is articulated with setbacks and angular roofing. Facade materials include stucco, Hardie siding board, wood-look panels, and metal roofing.
Demolition will be required for the existing single-unit building. The 0.4-acre property is located by many strip mall shopping centers with three groceries and many restaurants within walking distance. The Sunnyvale Caltrain Station is less than ten minutes away by bicycle.
Silicon Valley Wzredwood Capital LLC is the project developer. The estimated cost and timeline for construction have not yet been announced. The Planning Commission meeting is scheduled to start this Monday, April 10th, starting at 5:30 PM. For more information about how to attend and participate, visit the meeting agenda here.

Santa Clara County really struggles with Mixed Use buildings… it’s ironic one of the few areas designed for mixed-use is Santana Row. And it attracts thousands of people everyday.
