Remodeling and expansion have been proposed at 2257 Bush Street in Lower Pacific Heights in San Francisco. The project proposal includes expansion of an existing two-unit residential building into a seven-unit residential building.
The project site is a parcel spanning an area of 3,781 square feet. The scope of work includes the horizontal expansion toward the rear along with vertical expansion to bring seven residential units into a building that currently has two units. The existing two-unit residence will spans an area of 2,540 square feet. Seven parking spaces are also proposed.
A project review meeting has been scheduled. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.

Great that 2 units are being increased to 7 units. Possibly save money and or make another unit or 2 by eliminating the unnecessary cost of making 7 parking spaces.
Maybe people will pay more for a unit with a parking space than with a unit and no parking? There needs to be a market for the units and not everyone just want a place to sleep. You’re suggesting everyone live according to the way you have chosen and what your needs are. Maybe that is short-sighted. This is a neighborhood where there isn’t a lot of street parking and building units without parking effects the current people living in the neighborhood and you get (NIMPY’s) as a result.

Cities are for people, not cars. Yimbys can advocate for new density while simultaneously being opposed to perpetuating car dependency. Especially in such a centrally located well connected neighborhood. Do everyone in sf a favor and take your car brain elsewhere and stay outta these comments
