The City of Santa Clara has approved a residential project proposed for development at 1957 Pruneridge Avenue in Santa Clara, Santa Clara County. The project proposal includes the demolition of an existing church and accessory structures, along with the removal of landscaping on the project site, followed by the development of 22 two-story townhomes.
SCS Development is the project applicant. CBG is consulting on civil engineering. Danielian Associates is responsible for the designs.
The project site spans an area of 2.47 acres. The scope of work will bring 22 townhomes to the project site. Each townhomes will include a two to three car garage. Three of the townhomes will be affordable units compliant with the City of Santa Clara Affordable Housing program.
The proposed project includes the planting of approximately 79, 24-inch to 36-inch box trees throughout the site and will feature drought tolerant, low water use landscaping in the common areas and yards of the residential units.
Additionally, the project site will feature a landscaped paseo at the middle of the site that will provide access to the sidewalk on Pruneridge Avenue. Access to the project site will be provided by an ingress/egress driveway at the east end of the project site. The driveway will connect to a drive aisle which separates the units on the north and south sides of the project site.
The City of Santa Clara started the environmental review process for the townhome development last year in October. The proposal follows the former St. Mark’s Episcopal Church sale in July last year. The proposal follows the former St. Mark’s Episcopal Church sale in July last year.
The estimated construction cost and timeline have yet to be established.
