  1. how are they going to build anything there? The lot is a freeway ramp.

    • I was wondering the same thing, but the end of the article states: “The project site is located at the intersection of J Street and 11th Street”. My assumption is that there was an omission typo and the address is somewhere closer to 1023-1029 J Street.

  2. Um, that is definitely not a photo of 10th and J Streets!

  3. If another developer is truly committed and seeking to develop an 8 story mixed use project at 11 and J the City should fastrack it through the permit/approvals process. Those blocks are in dire need of redevelopment.

  4. It’s 10th and J. Not 10 J.

We need more MIXED INCOME buildings in the area. There is a dearth of housing for low income and minimum wage workers. I have a friend working two jobs just to sustain an “affordable” studio! And plenty of people have to have roommates, as adults, just to afford a place to live.

  6. For what it’s worth, Google Maps is wrong too; that’s roughly the high-200 block, had it not been displaced by Interstate 5. If Number 10 J ever existed, it would have been at Front Street in Old Sacramento, which today is a historic district and a state park, so it’s probably not getting redeveloped any time soon.
