The Draft Environmental Impact Report has been published for a townhouse development at 5670 Camden Avenue in the Cambrian neighborhood of San Jose. The project is looking to replace a few baseball fields and green space behind Beacon School with over a hundred units, in part with the Builder’s Remedy. Mana Camden Fund LLC is responsible for the application.
The site plans look to cover the irregularly-shaped parcel with a sprawling internal streetscape with 108 units across 32 structures. Vehicular traffic would be able to access from Camden Avenue and Singletree Way. The project site will include 243 cars and 40 bicycles.

Of the 108 units, 22 will be deed-restricted as low-income affordable housing. The project invokes the Builder’s Remedy, a provision of the Housing Accountability Act to streamline approval.
The City of San Jose is accepting public comment on the Draft Environmental Impact Report from now until September 30th. Public comments will be used to inform the Final Environmental Impact Report. For more information, visit the city website here.
Construction is expected to last around 34 months. The estimated cost has yet to be shared.

Instead of building more stuff folr older folks or low income invest on making sure rent is affordable to middle class. There’s no reason for healthy family’s to send their old folks to home when those so called elderly homes can be condominiums for people tjat actually trying to build a life. Degenerate people never take care of their families they just throw them to us taxpayers
