New housing has been proposed for 3070 Brook Street in the Broadway Valdez neighborhood of Oakland. The project is looking to add four modular accessory dwelling units to a vacant lot. San Francisco-based PermitFlow is listed as the project applicant.
The application doesn’t provide much further information beyond the four modular accessory dwelling units. The project aims to provide affordable rental units, though it is not specified whether this includes deed-restricted affordable housing or affordable units by design.
The small 0.2-acre lot is on a small block between Broadway and 30th Street. Future residents will be near two grocery stores, Mosswood Park, and the intersection with Piedmont Avenue. The property owner is listed as two Rancho Palos Verdes-based individuals. The project team has yet to reply to a request for comment.
