Plans have been approved for a potential four-story hotel at 2270 Del Paso Road in the Natomas neighborhood of Sacramento. The project is expected to add 122 guest rooms operating under the Woodspring Suites brand. WS California Developer is listed as the project developer, operating on behalf of the San Diego-based Meissner Commercial Real Estate Services.

BRR Architects is responsible for the design. Illustrations depict a boxy, four-story structure with a stone veneer base above three floors clad in cementitious siding. The roughly 40-foot-tall structure is expected to yield around 51,000 square feet, including 122 guest rooms and a fitness center. The plan is for a limited-service hotel with no restaurants, bar, pool deck, or conference facilities.

The property is located along Truxel Road between Del Paso Road and Terracina Drive. The site is a twelve-minute drive from the Sacramento International Airport or Downtown Sacramento. Downtown Sacramento can be reached in 40 minutes by bus.

  1. Can you imagine having that is your job, designing things like this?

    • Projects like this should be outlawed. Cheap materials and poor design, guarantee that this building doesn’t stay around for long. Just unsustainable, and not suitable for future adaptive reuse bleh

    • Ok I agree with this comment but…

      Well imagine this. You are hired to design this project but was given such a small budget & design regulations. What can you really do with no room to work with? At the end of the day this project is an investment by investors. This is not a fantasy art project with unlimited dollars to spend.
