The 65-foot-tall structure is expected to yield around 68,700 square feet, including 54,270 square feet of housing and 14,440 square feet for the ground-floor garage. Parking will be included for 36 cars and 41 bicycles. The project will include 76 units, including 42 studios, 33 one-bedrooms, and one two-bedroom unit for the on-site property manager.

The 75 affordable units will be rented to prospective residents age 55 and older. The units will be deed-restricted, with 54 for very low-income households and 21 for low-income households.

BAR Architects & Interiors is responsible for the design. Illustrations show a fairly well-designed podium building with four floors of housing atop the garage. The ground floor will also include the lobby and bike room. The second floor will include a podium-top courtyard, a community room, a fitness center, and residential service offices. Additionally, the top floor will include a corner terrace overlooking Brewster Avenue and Veterans Boulevard.

  1. Simple. Tasteful. A bit short, but overall nice. More please.

  2. If the housing fails, it looks perfect for an ICE prison
