A project review meeting has been requested for a new five-story mixed-use infill at 2550 Bayshore Boulevard in Visitacion Valley, San Francisco. The plan would replace a single-story auto repair shop with 19 homes. Gary Gee Architects is responsible for the application.
The 50-foot tall structure will contain 19 homes, 1,000 square feet of commercial area, and parking for 19 cars.
The property is a block and a half from San Francisco’s southern border with San Mateo County. Future residents will be across from the KT light rail’s final stop. The Bayshore Caltrain Station is ten minutes away in the city of Brisbane, with pedestrians having to walk around a large vacant parcel.
The project owner is unnamed, operating through 2550 Bayshore LLC. Along with Gary Gee Architecture, Precision Engineering Inc will be involved with construction. City records show the existing structure was built in 1955, with no property sales listed.

Great location for more housing. Since public transportation is so available don’t waste space for cars instead make for a more affordable housing.
the vast tract of vacant land adjacent to Bayshore caltrain station should be part of a right to housing for homeless people. with this right they can then be relocated from sidewalks and other public spaces and directed to other services as needed . this could be part of a regional approach to the problem caused by the housing shortage that has developed over many years of opposition to housing.
This project looks good!
Luckily, parking is planned for the future residents. Anyone living in this neighborhood knows a car is almost necessary for getting groceries or going anywhere else for shopping.
